For many teenagers anger and short tempers are accepted as “That’s just how I am” or perhaps “There is nothing I can do because it is inherited.” However, nothing could be further from the truth. This program focuses on teens who may have anger control issues which are compounded by lack of understanding the emotion of anger. Students will have the opportunity to learn that we all experience the emotion of anger and like many human emotions, it can be controlled. Ultimately, we will point out how other unresolved emotions such as: grief, loneliness, self-esteem, and depression can evolve into aggressive behavior.
